PDF to Word guide
Convert PDF to Word (.docx) online with selectable-text extraction in your browser. No installation required. Scanned PDFs may need OCR (coming later).

For supported workflows, files are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to SnapTools servers.
Overview
Pull selectable text from each PDF page into an editable Word (.docx) document with page breaks. This MVP is honest about limits: scanned PDFs need OCR, and layout is text-first.
Pair with PDF Optimize or PDF Merge when preparing packets for clients or compliance.
How it works
PDF.js extracts selectable text page by page. SnapTools writes a .docx with page breaks between pages using the docx library — all in your browser.
Scanned or image-only PDFs may return empty pages until OCR ships as a Pro feature. Layout reconstruction is planned later; this MVP is text-first.
Benefits
Quickly pull quotes, clauses, and paragraphs into Word for light editing without retyping from a static PDF.
Security & privacy
Your PDF is not uploaded for this extraction path. Avoid converting confidential scans on shared computers without clearing downloads.
